How old is my piano?

In order for me to find the age of your piano, I'll need the make and the serial number.

On most uprights the serial number can be found in the vicinity of the tuning pins.  Lift the top lid and look inside, and there you will see the tuning pins, with strings attached to them.  The serial number is sometimes stamped into a wood part, but is more often stenciled onto the gold harp in black lettering.  It is usually four to eight digits.  See picture below.

On grands, it is also usually in the area of the tuning pins.  If it's not there, sometimes you will find it underneath the piano.  See picture below.

Please fill out the form below, include your piano's information, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.  I do have a lot of requests, so please be patient.  In many cases, I can also provide you with a few details of the company's history, such as the address of the factory, etc.

**Please also mention what city you're from as this helps me understand how widely this service is reaching.

In most uprights, the serial number is located in the vicinity of the tuning pins.  Here, it is in the middle between the two sections of tuning pins, just above the red and blue eagle logo.  Sometimes it's further to the right.

On a grand piano, the serial number is typically located somewhere in the vicinity of the tuning pins.
